Anna graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2000, joining the practice shortly after. She is from a Yorkshire farming background, and her parents are mixed sheep, beef and arable farmers.Anna's interest in farming stems from this, and she had her own flock of pedigree Charolaise sheep for many years. She holds a certificate in sheep health and production, and in advanced veterinary practice.She enjoys all aspects of mixed practice, whether it being out on farm calls, consulting or operating in the surgery. Anna and her husband have two young daughters and a pet dog.

Robin is originally from Fife, Scotland and graduated from the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College at the University of Edinburgh in 2000. He began his professional career at a mixed practice in the Fylde, where he worked for eight years, before joining our practice in 2008. Robin still lives in the Fylde with his wife Rosemary, a Fylde farmer's daughter, and their three children. Robin spends most of his time either consulting at our branch surgery in Wesham, carrying out export work or as part of our farm animal team.

As the daughter of a local farming family, Sadie regularly saw practice during the holidays at White and Baxter (now Ribble Vets). After graduation, she worked for 3 years in a mixed practice in Northumberland and then as a large animal vet during the calving season in New Zealand. On returning to the UK she took a temporary 3 month locum position as a mixed vet at White and Baxter and was still there six years later! Sadie left to get married and start a family during which time she worked part time as a small animal vet in Southport. In 2006 she returned to our practice and has since developed her professional interests in diagnostics (radiology and ultrasound), medicine and soft tissue surgery. Out of work she spends most of her time on Mum duties, either as a taxi service or cheering beside a hockey pitch, for her twin daughters.

Ben was born and raised in Lancashire, growing up in the rural village of Dolphinholme. Going to school in Lancaster he later graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2015. Ben was our first dedicated large animal vet at the practice and has a keen interest in cattle herd health. In his free time Ben plays squash and enjoys days out in the Lake District.

Rachel is a local lass and started 'seeing practice' here from the age of 14.She graduated with distinction from the University of Liverpool in 2011, joining the practice shortly after. Rachel has a particular interest in small animal surgery and achieved a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2015. Outside of work Rachel enjoys both playing and watching rugby.

Nicky joined the practice in September 2009. She previously spent 5 years in a small animal practice and 17 years working for a small animal charity.Nicky is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with further qualifications in Veterinary Nurse training, small animal nutrition, small animal behaviour, advanced medical and surgical nursing, K laser therapy and hydrotherapy.She is particularly interested in anything feline, equine or caprine (goat related!).She owns a variety of animals, including cats, horses, hens and pygmy goats, and lives with her husband and son. Michelle grew up in northern Spain and graduated from the University of León before moving to the UK in 2019. Since then, she's been part of the team at Ribble Vets and is now one of our Small Animal Vet Team Leaders. She enjoys all aspects of her work, but she has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. In 2024, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate focused on Small Animal Surgery at the University of Liverpool. At home, she has two dachshunds, Ruby and Pippin, and a Border Terrier called Golfo, who has been her loyal companion since the start of her veterinary career in 2013.

Sarah graduated in 2002 from Newcastle University with a degree in Applied Biology and then proceeded to study Veterinary Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, qualifying in 2006.After graduation, she returned to her roots in Lancashire and has spent time in both mixed and small animal practice before starting a family.She returned to work as a locum vet in 2013 and has since settled as a permanent member of staff at Ribble Vets where she enjoys being part of such an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and forward-thinking team.Her particular interests lie in small animal ophthalmology, ultrasonography and acupuncture. Outside work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and their 5 year old daughter, who loves to help with baking and gardening.

Hi, I’m Victoria. I joined the lovely Ribble family in 2025, bringing with me seven years of experience in small animal practice. I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2018 and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting both my patients and their owners ever since. I love the variety that general practice offers, with a particular interest in dermatology and medical cases. Outside of work, I enjoy relaxing with yoga, playing the piano, and spending time with my family. I am also a proud “mice mum” to my gorgeous twins, Hattie and Heidi.

Steven qualified from Liverpool University in 1981 and came to the practice shortly after graduation. At that time, this was a two vet practice and it has grown steadily since then. Steven studied for and gained the D.B.R. (Diploma in Bovine Reproduction) from Liverpool in 1996 and has a special interest in cattle fertility. He became Senior Partner in 2005.Steven is married to Jill with one daughter, Lucy. Outside of work, Steven enjoys cycling, skiing and enjoys a nice red wine.

Christine qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 1995 and has spent her career working in small animal practice. While working alongside a veterinary dermatologist in a previous role, she gained a nursing certificate in dermatology, further developing her expertise in this area. As Medical Team Leader, Christine has a particular interest in laboratory work and dermatology. She also enjoys consulting with clients and running the practice's nurse clinics, helping to provide the highest standard of care for both patients and their owners. Outside of work, Christine enjoys spending time outdoors with her herd of five alpacas and riding her Fell pony, Obi.

Caroline is a registered veterinary nurse who graduated in September 2016 from Harper Adams University. She joined the practice in 2013 as a student veterinary nurse. Caroline is from a farming background as she grew up on the family sheep farm and therefore has a particular interest in sheep especially at lambing time. She has a variety of animals at the family home including her own dog Eric, a little border terrier x Jack Russell, who goes everywhere with her. Other hobbies include attending agricultural shows and vintage steam fairs which take up most of her weekends.

Katie joined the Ribble Vets team in 2016 as a Nurse Auxiliary. She began her Veterinary Nurse training in 2018 and qualified in 2021. Whilst working at the practice she has a keen interest in dog behaviour and has started to run behaviour assessments and desensitisation at our Penwortham practice. This involves giving advice in general or assisting owners with any training they may need to implement with their pets. She began her efforts to become a qualified canine behaviourist in 2021 starting her Advanced Diploma Applied Animal Behaviour (Canine) level 5 course with Compass. In her spare time Katie enjoys family time with her partner and daughter,horse riding and going on long walks with her two husky dogs.

Her favourite part of the job is getting to nurse the poorly animals staying in our care and see them becoming strong and well again. Outside of work Emily likes to spend time with her own pets which include dogs, cats, horses, and a Crested Gecko named David! She also has a creative side and loves to sew and paint.

She also enjoys going on walks with her dog, Violet, and spending time snuggled up with her two cats, Eddie and Baloo.

She also likes nurse consultations, communicating with clients and helping everyone in the team. In her free time, she likes to go for walks, catch up with friends and spend time with her husband, their little boy and one crazy Staffie dog.

She previously graduated with a BSc in Zoology from the University of Leeds. Before joining Ribble Vets she has worked in a boarding kennels and for the Cats Protection League. In her spare time she enjoys bouldering, running and cuddles with her ginger cat Tigger.

I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse at Ribble Vets, having qualified in June 2025 after completing all of my training with the practice. I love caring for a wide variety of patients and helping them feel happy and comfortable throughout their time with us. I particularly enjoy inpatient care and have a keen interest in emergency and critical care. Outside of work, I have a busy animal family of my own, including two rabbits, two horses and a dog. I also have a cat who I rescued from work, so animals are very much at the heart of both my professional and personal life.

Molly is also the proud owner of a little Cockapoo called Dora, who keeps her busy and brings plenty of fun outside of work!

Michelle joined the Ribble Vets nursing team in October 2025 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2017. Since qualifying, she has gained extensive experience across all areas of veterinary practice, including first opinion, out-of-hours emergency care and referral practice. During her time in referral practice, she developed a particular interest in advanced imaging and the nursing of neurological patients. Michelle is also passionate about exotic animal medicine and wildlife rehabilitation. In 2023, she completed a veterinary internship in the Peruvian Amazon, where she helped rehabilitate local wildlife. She has a strong interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation and is currently studying towards an MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy and Clinical Rehabilitation. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys discovering great food, keeping active at the gym, watching horror films and spending time exploring with her fiancée and their German Wirehaired Pointer, Vera.

Graeme joined Ribble Vets in November 2025 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2002 after studying at Myerscough College. His career has included a wide range of nursing roles across both first opinion and referral practice. After qualifying, Graeme worked in Preston before relocating to Berkshire in 2012. There, he spent eight years in first opinion practice, followed by a role as an Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) nurse. He then returned to first opinion practice for a further six years before joining a busy referral hospital as a surgical nurse. Graeme moved back to Preston in 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience across multiple disciplines of veterinary nursing. His professional interests include surgery, anaesthesia, and diagnostic imaging. As a Clinical Coach and Supervisor, Graeme is also passionate about supporting and developing the next generation of veterinary nurses. Outside of work, Graeme enjoys crafting, travelling, and entertaining family and friends.

Rachel joined the Ribble Vets team in 2021 and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2026, having completed her veterinary nursing training at Myerscough College. She also holds a BSc in Animal Behaviour from the University of Chester and has previous experience working in both kennels and a cat sanctuary. Rachel has always had a passion for animal welfare and is dedicated to providing compassionate, individualised care to every patient. She is particularly passionate about creating a calm and reassuring experience for both pets and their owners, especially during times that can feel uncertain or stressful. Rachel strives to ensure every animal feels safe, comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit to the practice. Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reading, socialising with friends and spending time with her four-legged shadow, Luna, her crazy Cockapoo!

I have been in human nursing for the past 13 years and have been given the opportunity to move onto Veterinary Nursing. Beth joined the Ribble Vets team as a nurse auxiliary in 2024, having previously worked at a kennels and cattery and an exotic wildlife park. Beth is animal crazy and is kept busy with her and her partner's 6 dogs, 60+ domestic pigeons and rescue rabbits.

Kate joined the team as a nurse auxiliary in 2024 after graduating from Liverpool John Moores University with a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour. Outside of work she works as a self-employed ski instructor and enjoys reading, travelling and caring for her cat.

Ashleigh joined Ribble Vets in August 2025 as a nurse Auxillary. She achieved a Distinction* and Double Distinction in Level 3 Equine Studies at Myerscough College, gaining a strong foundation in animal welfare, nutrition, rehabilitation and therapy, alongside practical animal care. Although her studies focused on equine care, Ashleigh is now enjoying working with small animals and is passionate about providing the highest standard of care to every patient. Outside of work, horses remain a huge part of her life. She has ridden since childhood, owns three horses, and competes at county level.

Hannah joined the Ribble Vets reception team in September 2022 after studying Animal Care at Myerscough College. Before joining the practice, she volunteered at wildlife rescue centres and worked in kennels and catteries, gaining valuable hands-on experience caring for a variety of animals. In July 2026, Hannah also joined the Auxiliary Nurse team while continuing her role on reception. Her lifelong love of animals and friendly, caring nature make her a valued member of the practice. Outside of work, Hannah enjoys going to the gym, reading fiction, trying out new craft projects, and spending time with her sassy cat, Astrid.

He is now part of our nursing auxiliary team while continuing his studies, and he’s enjoying the opportunity to learn new skills and explore a different role within the practice.

Caroline has been with the practice since 2002 and was then made Head Receptionist in 2010. Caroline worked full time until having her two children. She now works part time as Head of Client Services at our main branch in Penwortham. Caroline is from a farming background and has been around animals all her life. In her spare time she likes going on adventures with her family.

Zoe joined Ribble Vets in 2015 but has spent most of her working life in varying accounts roles with large corporate organisations so being at a vets is something different and challenging for her. She enjoys visiting new countries, camping and is part of a ladies pool team. Whilst mostly having lived in towns, she now lives with her partner on his parent’s farm and they have 2 dogs and a parakeet.

Jo has been with the practice since August 2023 starting off in Reception. Since October 2024 Jo has moved away from our reception team and she is now our very helpful Accounts Assistant. She has two big dogs at home that are both rescues...a Rottweiler and a Mastiff, so she is always happy to cuddle the big pooches that come into the branch (as well as the small ones). When she's not in work, the majority of her spare time is spent walking the dogs or in the gym lifting weights.

Rachel has been with the practice since June 2005 starting off in Reception, more recently Rachel has moved away from our reception team and she is now our amazing Pet Care Plan coordinator. Out of work Rachel is a busy Mum of two who enjoys spending time with her horses and getting lost on walks (not on purpose).

Hi, I'm Chloe. I joined Ribble in January 2026 as the Administrative Assistant to the Practice Manager. Having recently moved back up north, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two cats and my crazy Labrador, as well as making the most of time with friends and family.

Hollie joined the practice in January 2018. She has been promoted to Reception Team Leader October 2022 and enjoys the additional challenge. She works at our Penwortham and Leyland branches. In her spare time Hollie enjoys riding her horses and going on long walks with her dogs.

John joined the practice in October 2024 and has recently stepped up as Temporary Reception Team Leader. He enjoys the variety of practice life, where no two days are the same, as well as helping to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Most importantly, John is proud to play a part in providing care that makes such a meaningful difference to pets and their owners. Outside the practice, John has a passion for languages and speaks fluent French and Spanish. He also loves to sing whenever he gets the chance!

She lives with her fiancé and two daughters along with her Border Terrier, Jinny and four fish.If it was up to her she would have a houseful of pets but Jinny likes to be a dog on her own!

Dolly has been a member of the Ribble Vets reception team since December 2022. She loves all animals, but horses and cats are her favourite. Dolly previously worked with racehorses for 25 years, where she got her own horse from the stables there, when he retired. She wanted to stay working along side animals, so she decided to become part of the Ribble Vets team. She has four cats, who all have very different personalities so there is never a dull moment at home. In her spare time she enjoys looking after her horse, road running and planning her next Disney trip.

Natalie joined the practice in 2004, originally as a receptionist. In 2018 she joined the nursing team as a Nurse Auxiliary and is now back on our Reception team. Natalie is also part of our Behaviour Team supporting dogs and their humans with behavioural and training issues and in addition, helps run our Puppy Confidence Parties. She had previously volunteered at the RSPCA in her native South Africa for a number of years and is a qualified dog groomer.

Shannon joined the Ribble Vets team in May 2026 and is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at reception. She enjoys being part of the team and helping make visits to the practice as welcoming as possible for both clients and their pets. Outside of work, Shannon loves reading and enjoys going to see shows and musicals. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her little girl and her Labrador, Lilo, who she describes as the best big sister!

Ava joined the Ribble Vets team in May 2026 and is part of our friendly reception team, helping to welcome clients and their pets to the practice. Ava studied at Cardinal Newman College, gaining A-levels in Biology, English Language and Psychology in 2025. She enjoys being part of the veterinary environment and working alongside the team to help provide a welcoming experience for our clients and their pets. Outside of work, Ava loves spending time with her friends and family. Her favourite companion, however, is her beloved Staffie, Mabel, who is very much the most important member of the family!
