It’s been a very long 18 months but hopefully life is gradually returning to normal. With your help and patience, some careful planning, the dedication of our staff and a good dose of luck we’ve managed to remain open throughout this time, continuing to look after both the large and small animals under our care.
FROM 11TH OCTOBER We are saying goodbye to the carpark consultation
None of us will miss trying to have private conversations outside in the rain or the soggy consent forms!
Sadly, we can’t go completely back to normal as the virus is still present, but we aim to manage the risks by maintaining social distancing where possible and continuing to use masks or shields when in confined areas. We also need to avoid congestion in the surgery by using the waiting room and reception areas as little as possible.
ARRIVING AT THE SURGERY
When you arrive at the surgery for your pet’s appointment or to collect medication, please telephone reception. Give them your details and the number of your parking bay. Please continue to wait in your car. The vet or nurse will come to the car when it is time for your pet’s appointment or will bring out any medication that you have ordered.
SEEING THE VET
When it is time for the appointment the vet will ask if one person would like to accompany them into the surgery. If you prefer you can decide to wait in the car whilst your pet is being examined. If you would like to be present at the examination, we ask that only one person attends and that they wear either a face mask or shield, this is because social distancing is not be possible in the consulting rooms when you are holding your pet.
PAYING AND LEAVING THE SURGERY
Following the consultation please could you go to reception to pay and make any future appointments, and then return to your car. A member of staff will bring out any medication that has been prescribed to avoid queues outside dispensary
Hopefully the system will run smoothly and reduce waiting times while keeping everyone safe.
