Opening times

You are welcome to contact the surgery for advice about your animal, to book appointments and for any other queries during our office hours, Monday – Friday 0900-1900. We ask that telephone calls outside of these times are for urgent matters or emergencies only. Please remember that we provide a 24 hour emergency service and our phone is always personally answered – we do not have an answerphone for this reason.

We are not able to offer consultations by telephone, and if you are at all worried about your pet's health the best advice we can give you is to see a vet. Many queries can be actioned by our experienced support team, and you are welcome to leave a message with them if you require one of our vets to telephone you. Our vets are always happy to hear of updates on the progress of their patients, and certain queries regarding medication and treatment can only appropriately be dealt with by a vet. It is not usually possible to transfer you to a vet directly, but the receptionist will record your details and the nature of your query and the vet will contact you at their earliest opportunity. We try to make sure this is the same day, but all of our vets have a very busy schedule and are often away from the surgery; if you require an urgent response, please advise us at the time.

Consultations by appointment

Consultations by appointment

(Emergencies Only)

We have bookable appointments arranged in ten minute slots. These can be made in advance either by telephone or in person at the surgery. If you wish to bring more than one animal, please advise the receptionist at the time of booking.

For ongoing cases, we understand that you may wish to see the same vet at follow up appointments. Our vets work to a rota, and generally we are able to tell you in advance when a particular vet will be consulting and are available for appointments. Please advise the surgery at the time of booking, and we will do our best to accommodate you. However, due to the nature of our work, it is not possible to guarantee that a requested veterinary surgeon will always be available as they may have to attend an emergency call or assist in theatre at very short notice.

Please note that (Emergencies Only) are intended for urgent, non-routine matters only. Therefore, please avoid coming to these surgeries for vaccinations, medication reviews and other non-urgent cases.

We understand that some dogs, and some cats, can be nervous around other animals. However, it is likely that there will be other pets around as there will usually be an appointment before or after yours, and we also run nurse clinics at the same time. Some owners prefer to wait outside, either in their car or our client car park. If you have any concerns, please telephone the surgery for advice. 01772 746393.
